History of the Club The Slovenský kras Cycling Club (SCK SK), based in Gemerská Hôrka, is a voluntary association founded at the end of 1998. Its goal was to develop cycling tourism in the Slovenský kras region and the historical Upper Gemer area, where no marked cycling routes existed at that time. The club was officially registered in April 1999. The initiative came from Ing. Július Slovák, that time director of the Tourist Information Center in Rožňava.
